Back in one piece

We're back in one piece from HCM. Hmmm well all i can say is i will only go vietnam once in a lifetime. Ha. Its those places where u visit once n its enough.

Shop. Bargain. Bargain. Bargain until tired of shopping. We have to cut at least 60% off the price they quote us cos they know we are tourists. Shopping n bargaining have never been this hard. Soon we grew tired of shopping. haaa.. Food was not fantastic at all, its either too blend or too salty. Heee. Lotsa MSG in their food. We ended up enjoying the western n thai food more. Their famous "Pho" (noodles) is alright but i find it too MSG! Famous springroll was not too bad but nothing tooooooo fantastic.

Visited the Notre dame Cathedral, Opera house, central post office, war remnants museum(certain parts quite gruesome n sad), Beautiful architectures with lots of history. Shopped at Ben Thanh and Andong Market. Weather was so HOT, i heard SG rained everyday when we were away. kuakuakua.

Last day at the airport was mindbogging! As box put it, "a series of unfortunate events". Never have i had such a "happening" day. Never been this "blur" n "forgetful" especially when traveling in a foreign place, i call this "the curse of the VND(their currency - vietnam dong)". Well i'm glad i'm back in one piece but it came with a bigggggg hole in my pocket. Any form of donations from sympatheisers are most welcomed... DELICIOUS coconut ice cream and Vietnam coffee! YUMMY!!! oh i think these 2 items are the best of what we had in Vietnam. haaa! Their coconuts desserts are good. The coffee is so strong that i cant sleep that night! wooooo....

I love these 2 art pieces, they're made of "lacquer", eggshells and seashells. We hunted high n low to get them n have to bargain so hard for a good price! I got the "lotus gal" for myself and "The kiss" for my sis. They are so precious to me especially after the whole "hoohaa". I'm just glad i got them back in the end. =)
