Tears and Rain

Jame Blunt
How I wish I could surrender my soul;
Shed the clothes that become my skin;
See the liar that burns within my needing.
How I wish I'd chosen darkness from cold.
How I wish I had screamed out loud,
Instead I've found no meaning.

I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

How I wish I could walk through the doors of my mind;
Hold memory close at hand,
Help me understand the years.
How I wish I could choose between Heaven and Hell.
How I wish I would save my soul.
I'm so cold from fear.

I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
Far, far away; find comfort in pain.
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

Student again so i'm all tutorials and partying?!

Busy busy... i'd spent my week doing tutorials and partying. haha now i sound like a REAL student!? Managed to get myself a free ticket to go watch Peter Pan, it was my first musical and i was so excited about it. But soon my excitement died down.. haha i think i'm so not a musical person! or mebbe it's Peter Pan, the plot wise...that's for kids la.... Only the first and last act was not that bad cos there's alot of flying around with the wires and stuff. Last act Peter Pan even flew "into" the audience and that was cool!

We went to esplanade after the show to surprise the bday boy, he didnt know we were all gonna be there. Skipped Settlers cafe(again! haha no fate with the shop la) and went to Molly Malones instead. 2 of our sup (Jen from nebraska(so near to alaska!!) and Julia's from aus) were with us so we had a good time talking to them n getting to know more about them and cirque! Then the "kids" all went home and the "adults" party on! whaha! We bar hopped to Eski Bar(haven get the pix yet!) and it was very COOL! Literally! haha about 6 of us were left but we had fun there! We went into the small room which was -4 degrees(-6degrees when we went in n it drop to -4!!) and stayed in there for like 8 minutes, see who can stay the longest.. haha we all got out shaking together in the end..

We all got hungry after freezing our butts off so we decided to bring our sups to eat chicken rice cos they been talking about it all day long. haha Went to Boon Tong Kee at river valley.. yummy~

more pix when i get them...

meanwhile.. a lil' pix summary of what's been going on these few days..

Carvivor!!!!

HAHA We tried our "luck" at 10000 dollars today... but it just wasnt ours to begin with! =p But the whole thing was pretty fun though! Our first challenge was "Ka tek"(spelling? - this childhood game where u kick this "shuttlecock lookalike thing" and keep it from falling to the grounds) and tell me who can do 10 times at one go?! I think only soccer or sepak tekraw players could do this in a breeze...

After that poor "Beth" have to struggle again eating 2 gigantic Carl's junior burgers!!! (Salutes "Beth" for the ka tek and burger eating!! You're the man!) T did away 2 other challenges very "glamourously"! haha! Me and box just ride along with the wagon. If only there is a memory challenge( i could do that!) or luck game(Box could do that!) and our dream to the 10000 dollars would be much closer! hoho!

Assemble at Toa Payoh Safra...

We are team 32, the table we had our breakfast happens to be 32, our queue number at Carl's Jr is also 32!! freaky man we kept seeing 32 the whole day but why 4D never strike leh!

Off we go... Carl's jr and Power98 decals on the screen.

Off goes the stickers after the rally..

So people we on for next year? HAHA!

Party Party!!!

The crazy bunch of cirquadors party and paint the town bright... We went for supper at our usual supper place for prata, after that we went to Cafe Iguana to celebrate Jen's and Shayne's bday. There are at least about 30 of us mainly the crew, cirquadors and a few of the performing artists. We had a magaritas night, we had everything magaritas from strawberry to mango and lime! yummy~!! We sang them a bday song in chinese and it was pretty nice. I got to take a picture with Shayne(German wheel dude! haha so sweet!), the rest of the gals showered him with hugs and kisses! I got away with a nice hug. hee! (Nice bod! :P ) Too bad he need to retire early cos there's still 2 shows the next day, the rest of us went on to party at Attica. I dun like the music(house music) and the crowd there, (mature expat crowd and house music simply do not go together for me.. i want HIPHOP or live rock band!) but we couldnt be bothered changing to another club cos it's pretty late already... I cant believe that this is the last week already but glad too at the same time cos i can get to concentrate more on school and free up my weekends for fun! Some pixs on our cirquadors tent area below...

Life is a series of games...

With friends, you talk about everything under the sun with them. Others gossips everything about you behind your back. You gossip about others behind their back. You wonder who will be the friends you will have for life and those that will just pass you by...

In BGR, you like this guy, this guy likes another gal (or worst!) he likes another guy. Guy likes you but you dont like him or you like his best friend.(opps!) Guy seems to like you and you like guy (yeah!), dates and realise he's an asshole. Guy you're interested in seems to take an interest in you too but you think that it's not possible, what to do? Pray hard that he ask you out la!

In school you need to make new friends, form "class buddies", get along and bond with those you think you can work along with... steer clear of those you think you cant work too well with. You learn smart to sit and watch the situation, soon there will be some who wanna make an impression but ends up irritating the rest of the class by being too enthusiatic.

At work, you have to "ah gah liao"(bond) with your boss, clients and collegues. You have to try to work with them no matter how difficult they are to work with. Sometimes you have to make harsh decisions, sometimes others make harsh decisions to you. Other times you wait for clients to make their decisions. Most times you just wish to kick your clients' arse. Your pens and stapler goes missing mysteriously and you try to hunt down the idiot who borrows it but never return...

At home, you fight for the tv to watch your fav shows on different channels. You "chopped" the "best seat" infront of the tv and that shall be your seat for the rest of your life while you still live in that house. You got to wake up at a right time so to make sure you get to use the toilet first before your annoying brother walks in and take a shower. The snacks you bought and placed in the fridge always goes missing mysteriously and leave you wondering who is the culprit... hmm...

Life is just a series of games isnt it? HAHA! Have fun with it!

My "very productive" weekend

I am beginning to feel that sleep is a luxury... I had a super havoc weekend consisting of mushrooms, lotsa mushrooms, 3 days lectures and a horrible test, work, after work show, supper and 2nd round supper! haha!

We had a "cabaret show" put up for all of us yesterday, there must have been around 200 of us in the big top? it's so pretty cool! Although i wouldnt really call it a cabaret show, no moulin rouge, no hats throwing and no ewan mcgregor.. so there. There are 7 different acts put up by the artists and crew, they had only been notified of the show one week ago so they only had a week to prepare and show their talents. It's really nice of them to make an effort n do up something for all of us.

Anyway the highlights of the night were the "painful" performance by our super scary chef(He poke a huge needle into his nose and it came out the other way!! he ate glass, steps on glass and rolled around in glass!!! ahh!) and the spoof of my fav act "statue"! The spoof was sooooo hilarious!! I laughed till i almost cramped! You must watch the actual act(it's so beautiful) and then watch the spoof and u will laugh like mad i tell you! Will show u guys the vidz!

I am suppose to be going through my notes today but i spent my whole day lazing around and catching up on my tv!! hee! Still not into studying mode yet, kinda feeling crappy and worried that my first test will be a disaster.. *bleh* Haven felt such "disgust" for a long time.. damn!

Last sunday's supper group:
